The Saudi-specific admission picture
Students at Indian international schools in Saudi Arabia (Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Jubail) sit CBSE boards, so academic eligibility maps directly onto Indian university requirements. NRI-quota eligibility is straightforward for Indian passport holders resident in the Kingdom.
JEE Main and NEET centres operate in Riyadh and Jeddah, but seats fill early — registration in the first window matters more here than in the UAE. For private-university exams without Saudi centres, we plan around remote-proctored sittings or a single combined exam trip to Dubai or India.
Documents and attestation — start early
Saudi-based families need Iqama copies, employer letters or bank statements for NRI-status proof, and (for some universities) attested Class 10/12 certificates. Attestation through the Indian Embassy in Riyadh or the Consulate in Jeddah takes longer than families expect — we sequence it in Grade 12's first term so it never blocks an offer.
A realistic timeline from the Kingdom
The calendar mirrors the UAE one — direction-finding in Grade 11, applications from September of Grade 12, exams January–April, decisions by June. The difference is buffer: exam-centre allocation, attestation and travel each need extra lead time from Saudi Arabia. We build the plan with those buffers in, so a delayed slot or document never costs a round-1 seat.

There's no centre for my child's university exam in Saudi Arabia. Now what?
Three options, in order of preference: a university with an international/NRI direct route (no exam), a remote-proctored sitting where offered, or a planned exam trip — usually one Dubai or India visit covering two or three exams in the same window. We map this per college before you commit application fees.
We may relocate to India before results. Does that break NRI eligibility?
Usually no — most universities assess NRI status at the time of Class 12 completion or application. But rules differ by university, and we confirm each one in writing before you rely on it.
Are meetings possible on Saudi weekends?
